Well my readers this will be my last blog to you all! I know
I know, it will be okay. This blog has been very interesting to me, when this
all began I was not a fan of this at all but now since these last could of
posts, I think t has grown on my much more then I had imagined when first
starting out. But now since I am wrapping it all up I really do enjoy it, I like
writing whatever I feel whenever I feel like. Plus I would much rather do this
then write more in my classes and also at home. Which is weird for me because I
typically don’t express my feelings to much of anyone. But in the future I think
I will open up an new blog, for other reasons, but my fiancé has a blog that
she pays yearly for with a really nice set up and everything and she uses t for
DIYS and many other things but if was to go and get a blog I would not pay for
it because I don’t have a raging passion to it like he does, mine would just show
the people who want to read, what I was doing and how my family and friends are.
I think the assignment of this blog was a useful assignment, one like I have
done before. It was just extremely foreign and that’s why it took me much
longer to go and get on the bandwagon of blogging. If there was one thing to
change about the assignment aspect to this blog I would try to give out more
assigned entries, don’t get me wrong I loved writing about how much fun I had
in Disney Land, but I think you would get people writing more if they had topics
that were in the news more and a little high profile and deep thinking, because
my favorite entry was the one with Wall-E in regarding to the future of our
world and people. I think you would get stronger response from the writers. But
that is just my person opinion. Well blog Jacob’s blog readers I am peacing out
for the final time!

entry 10 Here Comes the Boom
Howdy MY readers
Have you ever worked so hard to keep a surprise and then ruin it yourself? That's how my weekend went. My fiancés birthday was on Sunday so I wanted to make the whole weekend a celebration. I had been planning all month to make her birthday extremely special. I had things for her to do Friday and Saturday during the day but I was most excited to give her the surprise Saturday night. I had planned with all her friends to meet us for dinner Saturday night in Scottsdale. Everything was going smooth and I had kept a pretty good poker face all day until I made an epic mistake. When it was time to go to the restaurant, I lost my cool factor and in a way spilled the beans. As we walked in and headed to the hostess desk I looked over and saw that not all of our friends had showed up yet. I then blurted out, "actually we will be back we are gonna go on a walk". As I looked at my very smart and clever fiancés face I instantly knew she was not fooled. She let me play it cool as we walked out of the restaurant but as we headed down the street she cracked a smile and said, " so how long do we need to stall until our friends show up so I can eat?" Luckily Karlie made a whole joke out of the thing and helped window browse with me to stall time. I was so upset because I worked so hard to keep it a secret for weeks and as it was finally unraveling, I ruined it. After our fake stalling was over we headed to the restaurant and met our friends for dinner, I had to admit to everyone I dropped the ball, but I was okay with that. As long as Karlie was happy and enjoying her time I was happy and enjoying my time....and trying to forget about my failed attempt. Once the birthday weekend was over I was sadly relieved. I love doing things for Karlie but it sure feels good when I don't have to keep secrets.

Entry 9 Empty Stomach!
Ello readers
Many times
in my posts I have written about people being completely oblivious to the
amount of harmful and negative things in dealing with the food industry and
what goes down in the food world. There is something that deeply concerns me.
And this subject is called pink slime. And this wonderfully named thing is
typically created to go and make dog food and other animal foods, but wait one
minute of course the wonderful people of ‘MERICA figured out how to save some
jingle in there pockets by figuring out ways to feed this to us, without any
indications for us. This is something many people do not want to go and speak
about but it is in must of ours meats that are pre grinded for you. But the
scariest of all about this new “filler” is that the FDA s allowing this is
schools nation wide, oh yes if you have kids and are nervous about this, my
suggestion would be to perhaps pack lunches. This was all brought to my attention
once I watched this video by Jamie Oliver titled, “Food Revolution”. The facts
are shocking on this and people strictly need to know what is going on in the
food world we need to stop turning a blind eye and do something before the food
we consume is the reason we are dying.
I am going
to post the link to watch the video and make sure you have and empty stomach
and I would advice not eating ground beef beforeJ

Entry 8 Oh Netflix
Hello my
readers!
My name is
Jacob Lestina and I am addicted to Netflix. Yes I now a safe but lame thing to
be addicted to, but it is running through me. My fiancé and I cannot, not go a
day without watching or shows of interest.
This is all beginning of the series of Breaking Bad; the show was all
over the television and winning making very big waves in the media. And that
was the very monster that has begun to fuel my silly ragging addiction. After Breaking
Bad soon followed Dexter, I believe if there was a world record for watching a TV
series in a certain amount of time, I strongly believe that I would have my
name on a plaque somewhere. Everyone has one thing that go and have near and
dear to their hearts and now in this time and place it tends to be Netflix. Current
as I post this, my fiancé is watching our newest series, which is Prison Break….
DUN DUN DUNNNN it is an older show but boy it has an instrumental amount of cliff
hangers. This one so far has my award for
best series on Netflix hands down.

Entry #7 Food, Inc.
Well hello
my readers!
It has been
sometime since I have last updated my blog but I have a very serious topic I want
to discuss over. I have recently watched the film “Food Inc” and if you have
not seen this movie I highly recommend seeing this film it will turn your stomach
upside down, much like that feeling when on a roller coaster when you being to
drop from really high, really fast. But this flick has some serious incite on
where your food comes from and how it because your food plus primarily whatever
the producer feels needs to go in like vitamins and things of the nature. Personally
my main tiff with these meat companies is I fell like the world is being lied
straight to our faces. I mean you walk into a Safeway and see pictures of cows
in pastors and normal size pigs in huge heard looking all normal but that is
just for the change in your pocket. These animals are given hormones to make
sure that they get as physically big as they can get them because now they have
more meat to get us to buy. It is all a huge lie, these animals are brutalized,
because they get so fat so quickly some of these bones haven’t even all born up
yet, and also they can walk so the meat you are eating because it is killed it
really rolling around in its own and other animals feces. Think about that that
is stomach turning worthy. I mean what ever happened to everyone being happy
and healthy in America? Now every single person is trying to make money off
you, regardless f it is bad for you, as long as these people keep making the
huge quantity of money they will feed you anything. We should just be eating the type of food that
we want; I am referring to how companies are making engineered foods, I mean
come on, we as people just want wheat, not engineered crap that we can even say
the ingredients on the packaging of WHEAT. I just think this country needs to
do something drastic, because certainly the FDA is doing nothing to help. They have
the hands in this too somewhere. See everyone trying to make dollars anyway
they can. This is what sometimes makes me fear for what my family long after I am
around is going to have to deal with.

Entry 6
Hello!
This may see a little childish to go and blog about but I want
to go and vent to you for a minute is that okay blog readers?
Okay sweet thanks for your approval! Now this vent is not
like you standard I hate this, I hate that kind of vent. But this vent may seem
foolish but I wanted to take a second out of today to go and share how much I truly
enjoy Disneyland! It has been the vacation I have looked forward to since I can
remember! My family would pile into our old big ‘ol Suburban and hit the I-10
going West. But recently I just came back from my own little Disney excursion
with my now fiancé and her best friend and boyfriend. But the feeling of the atmosphere
when you even come close to these giant parks is one in a million of feelings. From
when your first get out of the car and the morning is dark grey due to the
heavy cloud coverage and the smell or popcorn and churros, to the gobs of
people smiling and trying to take in this wonderful place. But this is one of
my favorite places in the world, even thought I haven’t been all of the world I think it will still
be high in my books due to my family love and tradition it has wrapped all over
me. And now my fiancé KJ has the same
love for it too, not just because of me and my family but because of her own
love for. People call us Disney freaks and I think that is to far of a name for
us. We really enjoy D-Land but not THATTTTT much. If you have never been I advise
you to go. For my advice also try to not go through the summer of spring
months, it tends to be extremely busy in that part of the year. But I suggest
that you go in the fall times, the park is very low compared to the warmer months! I mean come on the slogan is: "Happiest Place on Earth!"

This clip to Wall-E when all the people are sitting the
their chairs not walking and talking on their projected people and eating when
told to and having the small children pretty much be brainwashed in teaching
has been talked about in this Lestina family! It goes hand and hand with my post
about technology; will the world come to this? Not in my generation but can it.
I believe someday if we do not go and try to stay either where we are now or
try to go back and live how it was back a couple of years ago, the future of
our kids, kids, kids may not be funny but may end up just like this children’s
movie. This clip seems to be dead one point to me, like I said I don’t believe
that I will ever see this but I think some people who haven’t been created yet
will. And if that’s what the future looks like I will be happy if I don’t see
it.
For instance when the man falls of his little transportation
chair that he never leaves he needs a robot to help him to his own feet, because
he can’t even get up on to the chair? I mean
come on is that what people are going to be doing in the future? To never leave
a single chair for your whole life, makes me feel claustrophobia just thinking
about it. That is the way we are going I believe, we tend to already be to
depend on technology but obviously this clip is the extreme of it, but it
almost feels to me as if they are foreshadowing the future for us.
Another tid-bit that was thrown in the clip was when the
little students are learning how to do their alphabet. When the ROBOT is showing
the children A they say for “Acsum your home sweet home.” Just simply showing that they are brainwashing
the children to totally rely on where there home is. Is this foreshadowing for what
is going to be happening? I am not truly sure. Is this showing us what the
school system is doing today? I’m not totally sure about that either. But can
it be YES totally I just am not going to answer those questions because I don’t
really know how they work. But his clip is defiantly food for thought about our
future.
Could this be us?
